Historic Preservation Commission
The City of Cle Elum adopted a local Historic
Preservation Ordinance and received its Certified
Local Government Status in 2006. The Historic
Preservation Commission is a body of private
citizens charged with the preservation and
protection of Cle Elum's historic, architectural,
and archaeological resources. This is accomplished
through the designation of historic properties to
the Cle Elum Register of Historic Places, and
subsequent design review of exterior changes.
Each commission member represents a specific
geographic area or has a specific area of expertise
(i.e. City at Large, Anthropology, etc.).
Commissioners serve on the Historic Preservation
Commission for three years.
The Historic Preservation Commission meets at
6:00 pm on the fourth Thursday of the month at Cle
Elum City Hall Council Chambers, 119 W First
Street.
The Committee Members are:
