Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

The City of Cle Elum collects a lodging tax pursuant to RCW 67.28. The revenues collected under this chapter may be used directly by the local jurisdiction or indirectly through a convention and visitor's bureau or destination marketing organization, for the marketing and operations of special events and festivals and to support the operations and capital expenditures of tourism-related facilities owned by nonprofit organizations.

The City's Lodging Tax Advisory Committee consists of five members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The Committee meets at least once a year to review proposals from parties requesting funds to promote tourism and makes recommendations on the applications to the City Council. The Committee reports directly to the City Council in an advisory capacity only.

The Committee Members are:
